About

About HutAlerts

HutAlerts helps hikers find Tour du Mont Blanc dates that still work, and tells them when a full night gets a free bed again. It is independent and run by Ridgework, a small business in France.

Where the data comes from

We read the public availability calendar on montourdumontblanc.com. Our reader identifies itself as HutAlertsBot, asks for the compressed page, and reads it about once an hour. Visitors to this site see a copy that is at most a few minutes old, so their visits do not reach the official site. We do not copy texts, photos, maps or logos from it, and every booking link goes back to it.

For hut wardens and the platform

HutAlerts sends hikers to book on the official platform, and helps cancelled beds find a new walker quickly. If you would like us to change how often we read the calendar, or anything else, write to support@ridgework.org.
